Government Indoctrination via EYEGLASSES

CHAPTER 1: EXTREME UPHILL DRIVING (A recurring theme in my dreams that seems to fascinate me)

My mom is driving me, my dad, and my sister to this restaurant. An extremely long 45-degree uphill stretch looms before us. It's like practically a sheer wall but barely reasonable enough for a car to zoom up. My mom knows we'll have to start fast and go fast the entire time in order to clear the extreme slope, or else the car might falter uphill and we might crash and die. So she floors the pedal and we go very fast uphill, no turning back!

But the cars ahead are driving too slow and there is traffic. Some of the cars lose footing and crash down the hill. The car immediately in front of us is driving too slow and there are cars to our sides, so my mom is forced to rear end the vehicle and keep going at full speed. Who knows what happened to that dumb slow driver. Since everyone has to either go fast or die on this 45-degree slope, and the traffic is very dense, we are now in a chaotic mayhem of various cars swerving, dodging, and crashing. One such car is veering into us from the right side, thereby forcing my mom to go into the wrong way lane to our left. At this point I panic and become like a crybaby because I think I'm going to die.

Luckily my mom is a very good driver so she skillfully dodges all the incoming cars and we finally clear the hill with several minor collisions but no major accident.

For no apparent reason my mom and dad switch seats so my dad can parallel park the car (they only did this in the dream, not in real life). This is normal parallel parking in a regular city setting with no slope; cakewalk compared to the uphill mayhem we just went through. Yet he accidentally bumps the car against a couple of things before successfully parking, so we make fun of my dad for being very unskilled at driving compared to my mom.

CHAPTER 2:

We get out of the car to go to the restaurant. All of a sudden I hear two simultaneous alarms: One fire alarm from within the restaurant we were about to step into, and one very distant alarm coming from what appears to be a large, important tower in the distance. Okay, I can deal with the fire alarm, but why is that giant tower broadcasting an alarm to the entire city? That freaked me out for good reason, and the restaurant owner clearly knows something is up as he motions for everyone outside to "come indoors quickly". At this point I'm the only person who realizes the gravity of the situation, so I yell at the people sauntering over to "run inside NOW". We lock the doors.

A few minutes later we see people walking outside. They beg us to let them inside. However, we are paranoid that they might be zombies or that the air might already be filled with some sort of toxin. We decide to be assholes and keep the doors locked.

It is now nighttime. It has become apparent that the threat is temporarily over. Several people come out of their shelters (restaurants/stores) onto the courtyard grass to discuss what to do next.

Suddenly the tower sounds another alarm. Lisa and I (dream logic has switched out my family for Lisa) run back towards the line of restaurants. Initially many doors are open; however, right before I get to each door it shuts and locks us out, as if controlled by remote. Not far from us, a sinister boy and woman are quite clearly the ones controlling the doors and trying to keep us out. Finally I manage to grab a door open before it is able to lock us out. Lisa and I quickly find and lock all front, side, and back entrances to the building, to keep out the apparently evil boy and woman. We barricade ourselves in a small closet.

However, the boy of course has the keys to the building and breaches our closet. As it turns out, he knows quite a bit about the apocalypse situation and is not so evil after all. "Dude, bro, we don't even know what's causing it or what's protecting us from it... we're pretty sure the glass walls of buildings don't actually keep you safe at all."

Suddenly I begin to feel very dizzy and the world starts spinning a bit.

The boy informs me, "Just make sure you let me know as soon as possible if you feel anything weird, especially dizziness. A lot of people have been complaining about the dizziness."

Me: "Shit I'm dizzy; this is the dizziest I've been in my whole life!" As I lose balance and am forced to sit down.

The boy looks at me: "Dude, ARE YOU STILL WEARING YOUR GLASSES?" Immediately grabs my glasses off my faces and throws them far away.

"Oh, indoctrination," I murmur to myself in my weak state. Corrective eyeglasses are just one of countless objects the government has been using to subtly mindcontrol us, I realize. I felt horrible, wondering how long the glasses had been influencing my decisions since I'd been wearing them almost all my life. I thank the boy for saving me.

Shortly after, more people arrive in the building, and the closet becomes a mini-party-room. They ask for the boy's autograph. The boy is actually the author of the story which I'm living out in this very dream; it's a best-selling novel. I really like the eye-glasses twist of this dream, so I tell the boy, "Hey I really like your story that I'm living via dream right now; awesome job! Especially the part about the government using glasses to indoctrinate us." The boy thanks me. I wake up.
